Beginning Clear
There was once a girl who didn’t know she had a purpose
She lived each day just thinking about the next
Each day the same
Each hour
Each minute
Every second of her life
Adding up
To nothing
Then she started to see
Purpose, good, change, peace
Things she had never seen before
She started to see
That her life had been an empty mess
She started to see
that if she tried
she could make a difference in others’ lives
She started to see
That the future for her was bright
She started to see
That she could make peace with herself and others
With the help of God
All of these things became clearer to her
Who had been blind
She is was a girl
I am the beginning of a mature woman
ready to face anything
