From the Writer's Diary: The Electronic Entity

The Electronic Entity

When it comes time for the trick or treaters to come out
And the monsters to run about
While I sit at home worrying

When will it come?
When will it happen?

Then finally the light explodes and bursts into flames, I scream
Run to the living room as fast as I can
What do I do?
This happens every time around the holiday they call Halloween

This year I feel the same
With it just starting as a little can turning
And going to things like cupboards opening & closing
To things like the hand wound clock changing by itself

Now I just sit here
Wondering what will come next
And most of all...
What will happen next year when Halloween comes around?
